The Basic rider course is designed for beginner riders. You will begin with an eCourse that will take about 5 hours to complete, followed by 10 hours of on-motorcycle training spread over 2 days. You will learn about the different types of motorcycles, layout and operation of the basic controls, and how to become a safer, more responsible rider. Your certified rider coach will guide you through the basic skills of straight-line riding, stoppoing, shifting, and turning, progressing to swerving and emergency braking.
You will receive instructions on how to register for your eCourse in the confirmation email that you receive upon signing up and paying for your course. You will need to complete the eCourse before your in person class date. Use of one of our training bikes is included in your class fee.
At the end of day 2 you will complete a hands-on skills evaluation. Upon successful completion of the evaluation you will receive your MSF completion card, which is accepted by the Alaska DMV for the skills portion of your licensing requirements. You will then need to take your completion card to the DMV within 11 months and take the Motorcycle general knowledge test in order to obtain your endorsement. The completion card alone is not a valid motorcycle license.
BRC2u
This intermediate course is designed for riders who already possess basic knowledge and have had some time to practice their skills. The goal of this course is to help you further refine your motorcycle handling skills and grow your confidence in your riding ability. This course will fulfill the continuing education requirements for military riders.
This course takes place over a single 5 hour session and should be taken on your own motorcycle. Training bike rental is available as an additional add on, be sure to check the appropriate box when signing up if needed.
If you are not a beginner rider and need your motorcycle endorsement, a skills assessment can be added to this course for an additional fee. Please be sure to check the appropriate box when signing up for your class. If you are choosing to add the skills assesment, you will also receive instructions for your eCourse within 2 days of signing up. Upon successful completion of the skills assesment you will need to take your completion card to the DMV within 11 months and take the motorcycle general knowledge test in order to obtain your endorsement. The completion card alone is not a valid motorcycle license.

Be prepared to ride on day 1! You will not be allowed to participate and no refunds are offered if you do not bring your gear. We have a limited number of loaner helmets available for use. Class will run rain or shine, you may want to bring rain gear in case of inclement weather. We will delay in the case of lightning in the area.
Refunds/Reschedule/Cancellations
Due to the limited space in each class, all class fees are non refundable
If you need to reschedule your class for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can try to work with you. Rescheduling will incur an admin fee depending on how much advance notice we have. Seats for classes are very limited and we need to have time to fill the spot you booked. Rescheduling is not possible on the same day as your class as we cannot make the spot open to another student with that short of notice.
Motorcycling is a high-risk activity. The safety of everyone on the course is of top importance at all times. If at any time the instructor feels that you are posing an unnecessary risk to yourself, other students, or staff you may be asked to leave and will not be refunded. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes if the need arises, or if a class does not meet a minimum enrollment. If we need to reschedule we will contact you at the earliest opportunity to work with you to reschedule or refund as needed.
